Return…

These two photos were taken in Madeira in September on my last holiday. It was rather hot, as you can see. The above photo was taken in Camara De Lobos, which is a charming little place with a super harbour. We had lunch here after a stop off from the tour bus. Below is taken from near Pico Do Arieiro which is one of the highest peaks on the island. This was on our 4WD tour of some of the island.

Things in London continue to be very similar as before. I need to decide about next year – probably going off the idea of Africa, and more for Japan again. All very exciting, I know, but I need to decide soon.
I’ve been doing the usual concerts and theatre trips as well. I went to see Karine Polwart again, but this time at St James’ Church in Piccadilly. It was a wonderful set, and she played my favourite song ‘Terminal Star’ which reminds me of my Nan. I met Karine afterwards, and thanked her for playing it and told her why. I asked her what the inspiration was for it, and she was just looking up at the sky, lying on the floor at a bowling green! I suppose inspiration comes from anywhere. I also went to see Agnes Obel at the Union Chapel in Islington, which was also a fantastic experience. A piano, double bass and violin/viola combination was truly haunting in the holy setting. I also went to my favourite theatre yet again – The Menier Chocolate Factory, to see a play called ‘The Lyons’, which was a rather depressing, yet darkly humourous play starring Isla Blair and Tom Ellis from ‘Miranda’. I’ve booked to go and see ‘Candide’ at the same place and this week I’m off to see Sarah Millican in Hammersmith, of which I’m very excited about. I shall be looking for other fun things to do too…
